Past Weekly Bulletins
Of our Rollers I found news on for Friday, I thought these had the most intriguing headings:
DATM posts 2Q EPS .04 vs .01
INFO posts 2Q .20 loss vs .50 loss
Certainly the others I posted "News Today" next to should be looked at also. Click your favorite news source and you'll be able to follow up on whatever interests you.
Now I'm going to talk endlessly about "chat sessions."
I'd like to start up scheduled chat sessions, at least once a week. The problem here of course is the great difference in time zones we're sprinkled across. I'm in Hawaii so when it's 8:00PM here it's 2:00AM on the East Coast. So what I intent to do on weeknights is to just leave myself signed in the chat room. I'm normally working on updating my stock info. via the internet anyway. I'll check in every five or ten minutes to see if you or any of our other Trading buddies have stopped in to swap thoughts, opinions and so forth.
There isn't any reason why you can't start up your own chat session at anytime you desire. Anyone can excess the RollingStock100 forum via the gold links on the web site. Then simply click the chat button at the bottom left of the first page you land on, after logging in. There's a message that appears when anyone has a chat session going on, it even tells you how many are talking.
Perhaps we can collectively come up with what would be the most accommodating time(s) for all concerned on the weekends? I'm open for suggestions! One thought I had is, in the meantime, to shoot out an email via the Listbot open email, letting the rest of us know you're going to be in the chat room at a certain time. If I receive such a message, I'll forward it to those who are on the regular Daily Update email list as well.
Now I'm going to talk endlessly about the "open email" Daily Update.
In case you aren't aware of it. Anyone can send out a reply to everyone on the open email list, by simply using the reply button on your email provider. It's as simple as one, two, three! 1) receive the message 2) hit reply 3) type in your response and send it If you like you can use the open email I send out each day to reply with, thus omitting the annoyance of going to the Listbot page to generate an original. The more Traders we get on the open email the better it'll work for getting info. out quickly. There are 32 Traders on the open email Daily Update and 401 on the regular Daily Update. Hopefully more will switch over to the open email, thus enhancing our effectiveness.
Note: I learned this one through trial and error. You can't reply to the open email from an email address not listed with Listbot. It's likely only the address you used to subscribe with is listed with them at this time. If you have multiple addresses like I have, you'll have to go back to Listbot and sign them in. It's really easy to do and only takes a few seconds.
If you'd like to view the past Weekly Bulletins, there are a variety of places to go. Take you're pick! You'll find they're easily accessible for your viewing at Delphi Forums, RS100's Premium Board, Yahoo! Clubs, MSN Clubs, The Motley Fool, Lycos Clubs, and The Raging Bull.
I know what your thinking... What idiot?! Would have seven different message boards for their web site and post the identical information on each!? Well the answer is simple...LLH that's who :-0) If you've read this far you're probably expecting to stumble upon my reasoning for this about now? So here it is: each of my message boards are located in popular "communities" catering primarily to the financially minded web surfer. When one of these investing voyagers of the net drift onto one of the RollingStock100 message boards, the inclination is to click over and check out the web site that's sponsoring it...namely this one, RollingStock100.com! It's just a method of attracting future members by giving them a trail of bread crumbs to follow.
The Weekly Bulletin is emailed out as part of the Weekly Update. If you're under the impression that receiving a regular, free dosage of our seemingly endless babble, along with an updated list of our 100 Rollers and questions from other members would be a good thing...click the "SUBSCRIBE" link at either the top or bottom of this page.
